Although Robin Gibb surprised doctors and delighted his family, friends and fans by emerging from a coma, he still faces long odds to make a full recovery.Singer Jim Dooley, a longtime friend, tells London’s Telegraph, “It’s 50-50 whether he comes through this. He can’t speak at the moment because he has a tracheotomy, and he has to communicate by blinking his eyes… The plan is to get his strength up so he can resume chemotherapy treatment for his cancer.”
According to Dooley, Robin has been receiving prayers and blessings from every religion — and he’s been told there is a special blessing on the way from the Pope
Mick Jagger won’t be performing with his Rolling Stones bandmates when he hosts Saturday Night Live this week — he’s picked three acts to play with that could be musical guests in their own right. Foo Fighters and Arcade Fire — both veteran performers of the NBC late-night show — and Jeff Beck will back up Jagger. There’s no word yet on what songs Jagger will be doing on the show.
There’s a new starting date for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s summer tour. It will now kick off August 14th at Fenway Park in Boston. Springsteen was the first musician to hold a concert at the Red Sox home back in 2003. Tickets go on sale Saturday.

A man claiming to be Stevie Wonder’s nephew is facing extortion charges after threatening to go public with an accusation that he’s the product of an incestuous relationship between the Motown legend and his own sister. According toTMZ, Alpha Lorenzo Walker demanded five million bucks from Stevie, then lowered the price to a mere 10 grand — which Wonder agreed to pay, but he sent undercover cops along with the cash. The officers arrested Walker on the spot, and he’s being held on felony charges.
TMZ says the incest story appears to be “totally bogus.”
