Morrissey Fires His Management Team During Ongoing War Of Words With Johnny Marr

Morrissey has spent the past few weeks waging a public war of words with his former bandmate in the Smiths, Johnny Marr. And seemingly as a result of their ongoing personal disagreements, Morrissey has taken the dramatic step of firing his entire management team. Moz shared the matter-of-fact statement in a post on his official website that he titled, “MANAGEMENT,” with the singer writing, “Morrissey has severed all connections with Red Light Management/Pete Galli Management.” No specific reasons have been given for the sudden firing of his management, which is all the more peculiar considering that Morrissey had just signed on with Red Light back in February.

This move comes after a flurry of conflicting public statements from Morrissey and Marr over the past month about a potential reunion for the Smiths (it’s not happening), a forthcoming Greatest Hits package (it’s not being released), and Marr buying the Smiths trademark in order to tour with a replacement singer (he’s not interested).
